FC Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi have hindered Arsene Wenger‘s side on several occasions, and the Arsenal manager had nothing but to lavish praise on him.
Messi scored a comfortable hat-trick in Argentina final qualifier against Ecuador to help La Albiceleste through to 2018 World Cup in Russia next summer, leaving Arsene Wenger delighted for the Barcelona talisman
“I’m personally very happy [to see Messi go to the World Cup],” the Gunners boss told the ‘Arsenal Player’. “If you love football, you love to watch Messi. If you love football, you love Argentina as well.”
The Frenchman reveals he is a big fan of Messi’s genuine talent and is glad about Argentina’s qualification after it seems as though next summer World Cup would be without the South American giant and their talisman
“They always have top-class offensive players and they are spoilt for talent. Overall, I would say that I would have been sad if Argentina had not gone to the World Cup,” Wenger said.
