Alexander Lacazette appears to be bound to leave Lyon this summer, with various teams enlisting an interest for the France striker.
Arsenal had led the pack in the race for the striker, And RMC claims the Gunners have consented to pay Lyon’s asking price from £44m, which would make Lacazette their most expensive signing ever in the North London club’s history.
It’s said that another meeting has been penciled in for next week where the transfer is relied upon to be concluded. Lyon are very likely to acknowledge the £44 million offer and the player is required to get on board with the move.
Lacazette himself is yet to acknowledge Arsenal’s terms but in spite of the fact that he is interested in a move to the Emirates. With the fates of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez hanging in the balance, the Gunners are prepared to burn up all available resources after already securing Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from German side Schalke 04.
Lacazette would likely play up front with Sanchez and Ozil, which would see Giroud fall down the pecking order. The Frenchman could seek a way out from the Emirates, potentially across town to West Ham?
