According to reports, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is looking to reinforce his team and his looking to push through a deal for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Much like the circumstance with Alexis Sanchez, Chamberlain has entered the last 12 months of his contract and despite Wenger’s attestations that the 23-year-old will “100%” remain at the club, he is understood to be thinking about his option at the Emirates.
The 23-year old midfielder has been seriously linked with a move to several Premier League clubs such as Liverpool this summer but ‘Sky Sports’ reports that it is Chelsea who looks serious about landing the Arsenal midfielder with a bid.
A similar source reports that ‘the Ox’ has no aim of marking another contract with North London club, making a move more probable.
The player is so keen on securing a first team football ahead of next year’s World Cup in Russia and in the wake of making just 16 Premier League starts last season, with a considerable lot of them out of position, the player believes that his future may lie somewhere else.
