10 Men Los Blancos Punish Sloppy Barcelona At Camp Nou



Cristiano Ronaldo received the marching order after scoring in Sunday’s clash as Real Madrid delivered a fantastic performance by beating Barcelona 3-1 at Camp Nou in the first leg of the Supercopa du Espana (Spanish Super Cup).

There was next to no to pick between the two sides in the first half, with neither team ready to make a genuine blame edged open door.

Isco attempted his fortunes after only one minute with a driven effort. Ter Stegen’s go out from the back was obstructed into the Spaniard’s way 35 yards out and he tried to chip the German but the Barca attendant effectively retreated and pouched the strike effortlessly.

Zinedine Zidane’s side started at a high force as they looked to avert Barca dominance and playing the ball out from the back but Ernesto Valverde’s men looked undaunted by the pressure. The first half ended goallessly!

Pique puts Zidane’s men in front 5 minutes after the break when he fired into his own net in an unfortunate circumstances to gift Los Blancos the lead. but who cares?

Lionel Messi drew Barca on level in the 63rd minute when he converted from the spot after Luis Suarez was brought down in Madrid’s box.

Just 3 minutes after Messi’s goal, Real Madrid struck! Cristiano Ronaldo who came in as a 58th-minute substitute volleyed in a stunning strike precisely on 69 minutes. But he was later sent off for 2 bookable offences. One for removing his shirt while celebrating his goal, while the other for being adjudged by the referee to have dived.

On 90 minutes, Marcos Asensio hammered a sensational strike from the edge of the box which flew beyond the reach Ter Stergen and sailed into the net to seal the win for Real Madrid. What a beauty of a goal from Asensio!!
